It's been awhile since I've added anything to this website. I've been wanting to get back to blogging and after perusing the tools available to me, I found that I could add a Blog page and do everything right from here. So let's get started . . .
I have found myself in a rut of sorts. I have been short of motivation to actually follow through with ideas and create videos for my YouTube channel. I shoot pics and video every single day, but, I can't bring myself to edit together any videos for publishing. I've only uploaded one in the past month and I had to seriously force myself to do it.
The last photoshoot I had was over a year ago. It was amazing! The model, Olinka, was a consumate professional. We had a great time shooting and going through the pics afterwards while drinking coffee and then eating lunch. It was such a wonderful experience that I made the choice to stop shooting models as I wanted to go out on a high note and just concentrate on the wildlife aspect of my journey.
I constanlty go back and forth on whether or not I want to shoot humans. Most of the time it's a no, as I've had a lot of flakes cross my path that just disappoint me. Back when I first started doing this I had zero problems. I contacted someone, we got together and discussed the idea, then met up and shot. Easy. Now, I can't get anyone to even respond to me after initial contact. This makes me retreat to the woods and vow to only shoot birds. It's sad and very demotivating.
I still carry a camera with me everywhere I go. Perhaps I'll find models who aren't complete flakes, like Olinka, and we can create together. Until then, I'll be in the woods.
